Real Estate Salesperson Program
Two Ways to Complete Your RECO-Approved Real Estate Program
Choose independent, self-paced study on your own schedule, or join an instructor-led cohort with monthly start dates.
All RECO-approved education providers deliver the same curriculum, but not every student learns the same way.
That’s why we offer Ontario Real Estate Courses in two formats: Self-Paced or an Instructor-Led Cohort. Both lead to the same outcome — becoming a licensed real estate professional. The difference is simply how you prefer to learn.

The Cohort-Model
A cohort is a group of students who start and move through a program together, following a set class schedule.
At Career College Group, our model blends facilitated live weekly sessions with self-paced resources. You’ll stay connected and supported while still having the flexibility to learn in a way that works for you. You’ll attend classes with the same group of learners, guided by a dedicated facilitator – an experienced real estate professional who’s there to help you understand the industry and succeed in your new career.
Why Choose the Cohort Model
We’ve been delivering career-focused training since 1969, and one thing we know is this: starting is easy, finishing is harder. Setting your own schedule takes discipline — and not everyone thrives that way.
That’s where the cohort model makes a difference. With a set schedule, live instruction, and a group of peers moving forward together, you’re more likely to stay engaged, complete the program, and reach your goal of becoming a real estate professional.
The Benefits of a Cohort Model
- Built-in Accountability
A structured schedule and clear timeline keep you progressing steadily toward registration. - Facilitator-Led Learning
Learn from real estate professionals who guide you weekly, answer questions in real time, and help you master key concepts. - Integrated Exam Preparation Exam review isn’t an afterthought; it’s built right into your classes. Reinforce key material as you go, ask questions along the way, and build confidence for your RECO exams.
- Peer Support
You’re not learning alone. Connect with classmates, share insights, and build a professional network that lasts beyond the program.
How it Works
Pick your cohort start date and follow a weekly schedule set for your group.
- New cohorts start monthly.
- Weekly live sessions are delivered online. In-person options coming soon.
- Choose a schedule with 3 or 4 hours of live, facilitator-led sessions per week.
- Exam material is reviewed along the way, so by the time you reach exam day, you’ve already been preparing for weeks — no separate cram course required.
Why Choose the Self-Paced Model
Some learners prefer maximum independence. If you’re self-motivated and want to move at your own speed, the self-paced model gives you full control. Start anytime, set your own study schedule, and progress through the program in a way that fits your life.
The Benefits of a Cohort Model
- Start Anytime
No waiting for a start date — begin as soon as you’re ready. - Set Your Own Pace
Learn independently and move through the curriculum at a pace that fits your lifestyle. - Option to Join a Cohort
At Career College Group, you can switch into an instructor-led cohort if you decide you’d like more structure or peer support.
