Career College Group is named 1 of only 4 RECO-approved education providers, offering real estate education in Ontario.
2024
After more than 20 years of serving the Scarborough community, we’re proud to open a brand-new campus at 520 Ellesmere Rd—reinforcing our commitment to community and growth for years to come.
2023
A new chapter in Brampton! We move to 17 Bramalea Rd, a historic standalone site that once housed Siemens’ head office. This new space reinforces our commitment to community and hands-on learning, providing a bigger and better environment for the next generation of skilled professionals.
2015
Medix acquires full institutional accreditation with CETAC.
2014
Welding and Early Childcare Assistant programs are added to support the needs of the local community.
2013
Medix Brampton moves locations to incorporate North American Trade School into the community.
2012
Medix receives its Stage One Canadian Education and Training Accreditation Commission (CETAC) recognition at its GTA ( Brampton, Scarborough, and Toronto ) campuses.
2009
Medix acquires ABMT College of Canada in Brampton.
2007
Medix Toronto adds a 6000 sq ft Massage Therapy Clinic and Career Services Department making it the largest dedicated healthcare school in the Medix family.
2006
Medix Scarborough follows, moving to a 14,000 sq ft campus at Lawrence East & Birchmount.
2005
Medix Toronto experiences record growth and relocates to a 14,000 sq ft campus in the Lawrence Allen Centre to better serve the city!
2003
Our tenth anniversary in London! The 11,000 sq.ft. campus trains 350+ students per year.
2002
Medix adds Community Service Worker and Pharmacy Technician programs to the London Campus - now with 7 specialized healthcare programs. A new campus is opened in Kitchener to train Personal Support Workers.
2000
Medix College acquires Health Care Vocational Centers (HCVC). Campuses in Ottawa, Toronto and Scarborough are welcomed into the Medix family. Medix College also expands to Brantford to offers the Personal Support Worker program. Medix College supports the need for mental health professionals and launches the Community Service Workers program at the Brantford Location.
1998
Dental Assisting Level II is added to the curriculum in response to Ontario regulations. Level I Dental Assistants from around the province travel to London to receive upgraded training.
1997
Medix College expands to Milton to offer Personal Support Worker training in the area.
1996
Southwestern Medix adds Chiropractic Office Assistant and Personal Support Worker programs to their prospectus.
1995
The need for specialized healthcare training increases. Southwestern Medix places students at London Health Science Centre and other laboratories across the city. Dental students train at the University of Waterloo Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry as a component of the program.
1994
Medical Lab Assistant/Technician and Dental Assisting diplomas are added to the program offerings. Training increases to over 200 students, and the Southwestern Medix campus expands from 5,000 to 7,500 sq. ft.
1993
Medix College purchases the former Southwestern Business College in London. New Medix training programs are introduced including Medical Office Administrator and introductory computer courses.
1969
Medix College is founded with a mission to train quality healthcare professionals.
